Malmesbury Abbey Music Society
Registered Charity 1034957
Malmesbury Abbey Music Society was established in 1971 and became a charity in 1994.

The objectives of MAMS are:
to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by such ways as the Society through its committee shall determine from time to time, providing it remains charitable in law, within the area of Malmesbury.

We are registered for gift aid on donations and welcome sponsorship and advertising in our programme. All income is applied to the creation and management of events in our schedule and to ensure those who can not afford full price are given access at a cost they can afford.

After three years of dormancy we have welcomed two new trustees and we are excited to re-introduce exemplary classical music to Malmesbury with a series of concerts in 2024/2025 designed around building the musicians and audiences of the future.

Our work would not be possible without the support of our volunteers and board of trustees and the income provided by audiences and our funders.

Our key partnerships in 2023/2024 are with:
Malmesbury Abbey
Orchestra Pro Anima
Water City Music
Lenthall Concerts, Burford
Caerbladon CIC
